The Bishopswood Big Bunting Competition 2012

There is a national competition running for schools, community groups and Jubilee Lunchers right across the UK to find the longest single line of bunting. The brighter, busier and more decorative the better.

The finished bunting will be on display in school shortly and there are some really interesting designs out there!  Thank you to all the families who contributed!

The bunting will be a great keepsake for school to use in the future.

Thank you!

Make your own bunting

No party would be complete without some colourful bunting, and what better way to decorate your tea party  than making it yourself? Bunting can be made from absolutely anything; from scraps of wrapping paper, fabric or old clothing even plastic bags!

Recycled bag bunting

Ideal for those who don't like sewing – all you need is some old plastic bags, a handful of sequins and an iron.

ScrapstoresUK have created a bunting pdf to help you assemble your bunting. They have also made ‘Fabric For a Fiver Packs’ that include scraps of material and other bits and bobs you need to make your bunting. These are available at most scrapstores across the UK.
